Hi, I'm Julie Olson
and this is my story
A Functional Approach to Health
I don’t chase symptoms—I connect the dots. Functional medicine and nutrition enable me to view your body as a single, integrated system where nutrition, stress, toxins, gut health, and hormones all interact. My superpower is pattern-spotting: questioning assumptions, cutting through myths, and following data and lived symptoms to pinpoint root causes. I rebuilt my own health without medications or invasive treatments, and I bring that same curiosity and rigor to every case—so you can naturally regrow hair, restore energy, and vitality to look and feel your very best.
Why this works (and why it fits me)
Relentless “why” seeker
Evidence + personalization
Clarity over noise
Real-world results
Stepping Further Outside the Box: Female Hair Loss
My personal struggles with hair loss ignited a passion for understanding this complex issue. Hair loss isn’t just cosmetic—it often signifies deeper imbalances. I delved into research, uncovering connections between chronic inflammation, hormones, gut health, toxins, and stress—factors frequently overlooked by conventional treatments. What I discovered was troubling: billion-dollar industries—beauty, pharmaceuticals, and hair—profit from keeping women in the dark, offering quick fixes rather than addressing root causes.
Armed with education, research skills, and firsthand experience, I created HealthyHairFix®, a program designed to provide root cause resolutions through advanced functional lab testing and personalized protocols. By addressing underlying imbalances, HealthyHairFix® empowers women to restore their hair, health, and confidence to deliver real solutions—not temporary fixes.
Not Afraid to Disrupt
My work isn’t just about health and hair. It’s about challenging industries that profit from misinformation and shallow solutions. I’m not afraid to ruffle feathers or speak out against manipulative tactics or claims.
My mission is to empower women worldwide to reclaim their health and confidence, providing the answers they deserve to look and feel their absolute best.

From Research Analyst to Health Trailblazer
My professional background as a Senior Media Research Analyst honed my ability to analyze complex data, identify patterns, and connect the dots—skills I now apply to uncovering health solutions and craft strategies that deliver significant results. In the fast-paced world of Hollywood, working at Warner Bros., one of my most rewarding projects was contributing to the syndication of Friends, where I honed critical thinking and strategic planning to deliver impactful results and revenue. These skills of breaking down complex problems and crafting innovative solutions are the backbone of my work as a functional medicine nutritionist.
When a family health crisis ignited my passion for holistic health, I realized that the analytical precision I had relied on in my career could be applied to uncovering the root causes of health challenges. This pivotal shift led me to establish Fortitude Functional Nutrition. Here, I combine data-driven insights and evidence-based strategies with personalized care to empower and guide clients to achieve optimal health and lasting change.
Lessons from Competition
Competing in sports taught me the values of resilience, discipline, and focus. Whether on the tennis courts, swimming pool or racing on the ski slopes, I learned how to push through challenges with determination and channel my competitive drive into preparation and perseverance. These lessons became the foundation for my career, daring to take risks and shaping my ability to face obstacles and deliver results.
